You are to design a line of organic food products with a new/fictional brand name. The products and the brand must be Norwegian. The type of products can vary, but the packaging must have a clear common identity. Keep in mind function, shape, materials, durability, reuse, recycling, shipping and self placement.

Creating a Great Moment: Communication in the Public Realm
London Metropolitan University 2010/11
How can designers communicate the ideas they feel passionately about in the public realm? Is it possible to re-think the traditional methods of speaking out for contemporary times? This task challenges you to find new ways to engage with the everyday to communicate your messages about the world, as a designer and as a citizen.
Solution:
To focus the attention on excessive paper use, there will be built life-size models of trees, using newspaper as building materiel. The trees will be located near the entrances to the most populated stations of the London Underground. The model trees will be strategically placed in large, open spaces and will be linked to the excessive use of newspapers, as a reminder that newspapers come from trees.
The public can interact closely with this installation. The way for the audience to “link” the model trees to the excessive use of newspapers, will be small leaflets lying under the tree, around the trunk. The leaflets will be shaped like a trees leaves, and will look as if they have fallen from the tree. The leaflets will include a short statement, describing the key message of the installation.
